WTF is “COOL”? It’s a web series. It’s a podcast. It’s a visual podcast. It’s a culture quest. It’s a tv show online. It’s a documentary. It’s a reason to travel the world and share my story and others who I’ve met along the way. It’s about celebrity. It’s about fame. It’s about dreaming. It’s about truth.
Post-isolation from the pandemic and post-psych unit stay, gay, Jewish, documentary filmmaker, recovering from his mental breakdown at his parent’s house, embarks on a quest for cool, inserting himself into exclusive, unwelcoming, and image-obsessed spaces. What begins as a chase for celebrity becomes a journey of cultural observation, empathy, and the universal need to belong.
Reality meets existential adventure series that follows me as I step back into the world after years in recovery. Post-pandemic isolation, a mental health crisis, and retreating to the desert to live with my parents, I’ve got nothing left to prove but everything left to feel.
I search for connection, relevance, and the dictators of cool in a culture obsessed with cool.
I’ll re-entER the fire that once defined me
but now, not to fit in, but instead to

Born in New York, I grew up a subway kid, I was then dropped into the chaos of the San Fernando Valley during the early 2000s. I was at Teddy’s on school nights, caught by Cobrasnake’s lens, brushing past Lohan and Hilton. I dropped out of high school to act in NYC, hustled to break into film, and lived through highs and heartbreaks when my world stopped the day my sister died. Since then, I see the world differently. I’ve traveled, grieved, healed and somehow I’m still searching for cool. In this series, I reconnect with people I’ve met over a lifetime, from global music stars to struggling cabaret singers, from award-winning directors to TikTok nobodies with something to say. We stroll under velvet ropes to explore subcultures in search of identity, belonging, and creativity. What is everyone really looking for? Is there truth behind myth?
